Storm Spirit

Convert a mana advantage into a back-line catch, then keep enough resources to leave.

First check

How much mana will the jump, spells, and exit require?

On your team

Play as Storm Spirit

  1. Plan the return route before using Ball Lightning to start a fight. A reachable target is still a bad target if the escape consumes all remaining mana.
  2. Use a pushed mid wave and rune information to choose a rotation. Do not abandon lane resources for a low-probability chase.
  3. Enter after a dangerous instant disable is shown, or coordinate an ally to cover it before committing deep behind the front line.
On the enemy team

Play against Storm Spirit

  1. Spread low-health supports so one jump cannot disable the whole back line while Storm’s team walks forward.
  2. Hold reliable control for the point where he finishes a jump and must cast; forcing a long escape can be enough to win the space.
  3. Pressure his waves and mana resources before a major objective so he cannot arrive with a full initiation and exit budget.
One replay drill

Make the lesson stick

Review three jumps and estimate the mana spent on entry, damage, and escape; note which enemy control was still ready.
