Rubick
Disrupt an enemy entry, then turn a valuable stolen spell into a second fight action.
First check
Which enemy spell would change the fight if stolen, and can you survive long enough to cast it?
Play as Rubick
- Stand behind the first contact so Telekinesis can stop an enemy commitment rather than become your own risky initiation.
- Choose a spell to steal for the next action your team needs. A modest reliable control spell can matter more than a famous ultimate you cannot reach.
- After stealing, reposition before casting again; the enemy now knows where the stolen spell can come from.
Play against Rubick
- Notice Rubick’s position before using a high-impact spell. Force his attention elsewhere or be ready for the stolen response.
- Pressure him after Telekinesis is spent, when a mobile ally has a better chance of crossing into the back line.
- Avoid grouping for a second copy of your own area spell. Change formation once he has stolen it.
Make the lesson stick
Review each Spell Steal: record what Rubick gained, whether he could cast it safely, and what target it actually affected.
