Queen of Pain

Pressure a lane and enter from a useful angle without spending Blink before the danger is known.

First check

Which control reaches your Blink destination, and how will you leave after Sonic Wave?

On your team

Play as Queen of Pain

  1. Trade in lane from a position that still protects the next wave; forcing a hero away is useful only if you gain the resources.
  2. Use Blink to cross a known gap or finish a prepared target, not simply to be first into a fight with missing enemies.
  3. Aim Sonic Wave through the heroes your allies are already controlling, then push a wave before looking for another skirmish.
On the enemy team

Play against Queen of Pain

  1. Track when Blink is spent and hold a second control spell for the location where she must continue the fight.
  2. Do not line up several low-health heroes on the same retreat path when Sonic Wave is ready.
  3. Keep pressure on the next wave so she has to show for farm before choosing a free flank.
One replay drill

Make the lesson stick

For three Blinks into combat, record visible enemy control, damage gained, exit path, and the next wave Queen of Pain missed.
