Where will the X Marks the Spot target return, and who is ready at that point?

On your team

Play as Kunkka

  1. Use X Marks the Spot with a clear Torrent or allied follow-up plan. A return point alone does not make the target vulnerable.
  2. Cast Ghostship toward the space your team intends to hold, then communicate whether the group is entering or disengaging.
  3. After a catch, push the nearest wave before choosing a tower or Roshan; the target’s absence is a limited window.
On the enemy team

Play against Kunkka

  1. Notice the return point when X Marks the Spot lands and prepare a save or counter-initiation around that location.
  2. Avoid committing several heroes to one narrow approach where Torrent and Ghostship can control the whole response.
  3. If Kunkka spends the setup without a kill, move the wave and vision while his team rebuilds the next spell sequence.
