Grimstroke

Turn an ally’s entry into crowd control and make paired enemies vulnerable to the same follow-up.

First check

Who can deliver Ink Swell, and which two enemies are likely to remain close enough for Soulbind?

On your team

Play as Grimstroke

  1. Put Ink Swell on the ally who is actually entering the fight, then tell them which target to reach before it ends.
  2. Save Soulbind for two valuable enemies your team can affect together rather than casting at the first visible pair.
  3. Use Stroke of Fate through a wave or retreat path when the line also protects your own position.
On the enemy team

Play against Grimstroke

  1. Separate valuable heroes before Soulbind can link both of them at the start of a fight.
  2. Watch which enemy carries Ink Swell and move off that hero’s landing path before the control arrives.
  3. Pressure Grimstroke after his first spell sequence so he cannot safely follow with another area effect.
One replay drill

Make the lesson stick

For three Soulbinds, mark targets linked, allied follow-up spells, and whether the linked position decided the objective.
