Dazzle
Keep an ally alive through the enemy’s first commitment and turn that extra time into a favorable fight.
First check
Which teammate needs Shallow Grave, and can you cast it from a position the enemy cannot reach first?
Play as Dazzle
- Trade in lane from a position that still lets you protect your partner. A support who is forced away before the next wave cannot use the save when it matters.
- Watch the enemy’s initiation target rather than only the lowest health bar. Reserve Shallow Grave for the commitment that would otherwise finish that hero.
- After the save, call for the next action: counterattack, disengage, or a second defensive spell. Extra survival time needs a purpose.
Play against Dazzle
- Identify Dazzle before you commit burst damage. Force him to reveal his position or use his save on a less valuable target.
- Do not spend every spell on a target who is already protected by Shallow Grave. Change targets or prepare to act as the protection ends.
- Approach from an angle that pressures Dazzle as well as his front line, but keep enough control to stop his team’s counterattack.
Make the lesson stick
For three Shallow Grave casts, note the target, the threat it answered, and whether the saved time became a kill or escape.
