Clockwerk
Cross the front line to isolate a useful target and hold the response long enough for allies to arrive.
First check
Who will be trapped by Power Cogs, including allies, and who can follow Hookshot?
Play as Clockwerk
- Use Rocket Flare to answer a map question before committing Hookshot through fog.
- Place Power Cogs so the trapped target is reachable to teammates while the most dangerous enemy response is delayed.
- Call the target and landing spot before launching; an unsupported long Hookshot may trade your life for no objective.
Play against Clockwerk
- Do not give Clockwerk a clear line to the only save hero while your team groups around an objective.
- Keep a response outside the Cogs area so one caught teammate does not become an isolated fight for everyone.
- After Hookshot is spent, pressure a wave or route while his team lacks its easiest back-line entry.
Make the lesson stick
For three Hookshots, draw the line, Cogs boundary, allied arrival, and objective gained or lost.
