Bristleback
Occupy space long enough for repeated spell and attack pressure to force enemies away.
First check
Is the enemy forced to fight you, or can they ignore you and reach your back line?
Play as Bristleback
- Trade around available mana, regeneration, and creep position. Repeated casts are only useful if you can stay in the lane or fight.
- Walk toward a real objective with allies nearby. Being hard to kill does not create value if the enemy simply clears the wave and leaves.
- Turn carefully when retreating, but keep track of control and burst that can prevent you from reaching safety.
Play against Bristleback
- Do not spend the whole fight hitting the nearest durable hero. Look for his supports, the wave, or an objective you can trade.
- Limit prolonged contact when his repeated casts are building pressure; disengage and re-enter on your own cooldowns.
- Check the current rules for break, healing reduction, and damage direction before buying an answer. Match the item to the problem in this game.
Make the lesson stick
Review one long fight and count how many seconds the enemy actually had to attack Bristleback rather than his teammates or the objective.
