DotaSense does not read or modify protected game memory, inject code, automate player input, or alter Dota 2 binaries. Optional match-aware features use Valve's local Game State Integration feed and selected on-screen-region capture. DotaSense is not endorsed by Valve, so review current Valve and tournament rules before using any third-party tool.

No! DotaSense includes automatic update functionality. When a new version is available, you'll receive a notification within the app. You can then update with a single click, and the app will download and install the update automatically.
Yes! The overlay supports multi-monitor setups perfectly. You can position the timer overlay on any connected monitor while playing Dota 2 on another. The overlay will stay on top and remain visible across all your displays.
The desktop app offers several advantages: always-on-top overlay functionality that stays visible while gaming, global hotkeys that work even when Dota 2 is in focus, automatic updates, better performance, and offline functionality. The web version is convenient for quick access but lacks these advanced features.
Windows: Go to Settings → Apps → DotaSense → Uninstall.
Mac: Remove DotaSense from Applications.
Linux: Delete the downloaded AppImage and any desktop shortcut you created.

Yes! The app includes several built-in alert sounds, and you can also upload your own custom audio files. You can set different sounds for different events (stacks, runes, Roshan, etc.) and adjust the volume for each independently.
The overlay works best when Dota 2 is in borderless window mode. For fullscreen mode, you can use the audio alerts and hotkeys to control the timer. We recommend using borderless window mode for the optimal experience with the overlay visible.
